About us
Fundamental Home Care was founded on a simple belief: everyone deserves to live life to the full in their own home, whatever their age or circumstances.
Why we started
Charlotte spent 25 years supplying care settings with general and specialist staff, and ran her own staffing company for six years. Then her father needed end-of-life care at home, and she saw home care from the family’s side.
That experience made her want to build something better: a service where care is tailored to each person, where everyone is treated with equal respect and compassion, and where carers feel valued for the difference they make.
Fundamental Home Care Limited was set up in 2024 and registered with the Care Quality Commission in June 2025. We are based in High Wycombe and support people across Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Charlotte Crutchley
Director and carer
Charlotte founded Fundamental and is your first point of contact. She brings 25 years of experience in the care sector and still works as a carer herself.
Toby Crutchley
Registered Manager, Clinical Lead and carer
Toby has been a nurse for 35 years. He managed a London Emergency Department, then spent a decade as a Nurse Practitioner in home visiting, 111 and palliative care. He is the Registered Manager with the CQC.

Kym is one of our carers, supporting clients in their homes every week.
